travel north america united states hawaii island of maui ho'okipa beach

Driving to the Hana Highway in 2011, we came upon Ho'okipa Beach, possibly the most renowned windsurfing destination in the world.
There are sandy beaches on the eastern end and grassy knolls on the western end.
In many places along the beach, the rocky reef system is exposed making the beach look like a series of hazzards.
Its amazing to watch the windsurfers and surfers fight the rough surf.
